The Truth - An Open Leter Sent to Mr. Ernie L Babuena

The TRUTH
An Open Letter Send to Mr. Ernie L. Balbuena

Honestly speaking, we feel that we are ALONE, there are many of us but we still are alone. We are in NEED, badly in need of understanding and strength to withstand all of these things that are pulling us down; somebody to hear our thoughts, and at least try to understand us.

A lot of people are talking our actions the wrong way. They will never understand how we feel. If everything that we are talking about discrimination is just in the state of mind, then how can it be so real? We are neither blind, nor deaf and not even insensitive for us to not to feel that we are being deprived and underprivileged. We know that some of you are trying, but the feeling of depression wouldn’t leave our blood and is always running through our veins.

We too are trying, no, not only trying but doing our best to BELONG and at the same time, ironically, trying to accept what we are. Be contented, and instead of comparing ourselves with others, we just need to do our best to excel in our own way. We know very well where to stand; we are very much aware of our status. Nevertheless, we are still student’s belongings to the special science curriculum as well and we DESERVE to be treated equally. It doesn’t really have to matter, but this kind of issue seems to be a very big deal, not only for us but for everybody as well.

We are pleading that this inequity no longer be practiced and that the gap between both classes be bridged. You cannot deny that partiality is going on. Please be honest with us. We ought not to accuse you of anything; rather, we are asking for you to lean us some ears, hear our plea and consider our point of view. If we are having wrong beliefs, then please clear up our minds. We know that we are still learning and that we have to pay attention to your morals. Compared to your experiences, we still have a long way to go. But please do take time and give us the chance to speak out minds.

Don’t take this the wrong way. By the time being, we are uncertain and confused about the things that we have done wrong. We are not to blame for our misconduct, it’s the peer pressure that’s driving us to do bad things and forget about who we really are.

Our environment has a great impact on us; our section, the talks of people, the old practices and the treatment upon us. You may think that we are only over acting but it’s the reality. This is the everyday situation that we are dealing with. We try to convince ourselves that it’s not happening and that everything is okay, but it always ends up the other way around. These scenarios seem to build up in our minds making us bitter and envious. Just try to put your feet on our shoes, and maybe then you’ll understand how we feel and why we feel that way.

It is our fault that we have let ourselves be in this situation and we admit that we have done wrong. We deeply and sincerely are truly sorry for that. Asking for FORGIVENESS, like what you’ve always said would never be enough to erase our wrongdoings, but the fact that we are aware of our misdeeds and are trying everything that we can to change, we think that we deserve a second chance. And only you can grant us that. It may be too much to ask but we believe that you still have the heart for forgiveness. We are thankful that we still have somebody who would teach us and make us realize that our EGO has gone too far and that it is not yet too late to come back to our sanities.

What we are sking for and need the most is your appreciation and understanding for us. We are all praying that these things will soon be fine and over. We are on for a CHANGE. We will start it with ourselves, but we need you the most to make all of these happen, for we are still and always be hopeful for the betterment.

“The LORD hates anyone who cheats, but he likes everyone who is honest. Too much pride can put you to shame. It’s wiser to be humble. If you do the right thing, honesty will be your guide. But if you are crooked, you will be trapped by your own dishonesty.”

Proverbs 11: 1-3

My child, don't turn away or become bitter when the LORD corrects you. The LORD corrects everyone he loves, just as parents correct their favorite child.

Proverbs 3:11-12
